New Doughnut Shop Coming To Houston Heights

New Doughnut Shop Coming To Houston Heights

The owners behind two of Houston's most well-known coffeehouses are teaming up with a Webster chef to bring more doughnuts to the Heights. David Buehrer and Ecky Prabanto, the owners and operators of Blacksmith in Montrose and Greenway Coffee in Upper Kirby, will open a new restaurant named Morningstar at 4721 N. Main St., CultureMap reported.

The pair, known for their coffees and creative breakfast menus, have joined forces with Sam Pahn of Donald's Doughnuts in Webster, who they described as a doughnut "jedi."

Priscilla Nguyen will run the kitchen and develop the breakfast and lunch menus at Morningstar, as she has done at Blacksmith for a number of years.

Morningstar will add to the list of newly opened boutique restaurants where Houstonians can get their doughnut fill.
